History

First launched in 1996 at the Washington DC National Zoo, the Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International
Awards exhibit has now become a multi-year exhibition program at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History on the
National Mall, 1000 Madison Drive, NW, Washington, DC.

The exhibition has grown from smaller temporary exhibits to an
annual exhibition program that displays prints ranging in size from 2-foot x 3-foot to 4-foot x 10-foot located in a 5,000-square-foot hall.
The prints are accompanied by detailed captions that tell the stories behind the shots, as well as an informative video of interviews by the photographers.

2007 EXHIBITION DATES

October 31th, 2007 through April 27, 2008.
